Hilton Garden Inn Toronto/Brampton

We stayed here overnight in December 2023 while attending a Christmas party at the Pearson Convention Centre. The hotel was very nice inside and the front desk staff member was friendly and changed us to a king room (wheelchair accessible) as we didn't really need two queen beds. Upon check in we were required to pay the rate for our stay ($200, included breakfast package) plus a damage deposit ($300) for a total of $500 charged to / held on my credit card. I was shocked the damage deposit was so high. The room was fine, but was severely lacking in lighting. As we tried to get ready for the party, we had to take turns using the bathroom mirror because there was no lighting near the full length mirror in the room. We had all the lamps turned on but it wasn't nearly enough. The bed was comfortable and the shower (open for wheelchair) was great for two, just be aware that the water will run under the shower curtain. We pre-purchased the breakfast package for $15/each, and opted for the buffet option (other option is ordering from a menu). There was a good selection of *real* scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, bread products, cereal, oatmeal, and fruit. Coffee, tea, and fruit juices as well. The breakfast host was very friendly and welcoming and brought us tea and cleared our plates when needed. My husband got his $15 worth. I am a more selective eater and will likely choose from the menu and pay the listed a la carte price next time. My one complaint is that damage deposit. $300 is excessive, and one week later it is still tying up my credit card. While I understand that it could be my own bank's procedures which are slow in removing the hold, to ask someone to carry a deposit of $300 is ridiculous.

I was attending an event at the convention centre so this hotel was extremely convenient. Our room was super spacious (but I believe we were assigned an accessible room) and other rooms that I had friends staying in looked much different. There was quite a bit of a line during check-in with only one person working. The breakfast was great value for $15!

This hotel has been the best value for the price we have ever got for any hotel. The price was excellent. When we had just arrived at the hotel, the exterior of it was starting to look a little old and outdated. Although as soon as I came into the lobby, it seemed as if it was a brand new hotel due to the modern decor. It looked like it got recently renovated. Check-in was very smooth. Rooms were also very modern and clean. The A/C was not so strong, so the room was a little warm. The marble counters in the bathroom were very pristine and unique. Hallways were also in a very unique style. Note that breakfast costs money, so do not be expecting free breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel!

My experience was different. Staffs need to understand that they can't enter guess room has they please. I had request for clean towels, and after getting out the shower I heard a knock. I said just a second but, the person was in before I was able to reach to the door. Being half dress I rush back in the bathroom asking that he put them down and leave. few mins after another knock telling me they have to installed new shampoo bottles in the bathroom. by then my patient was finish. I just wanted to get dress in private.

Do not stay here. Staff is very rude and non responsive. We were locked out of our rooms for hours on end multiple times in a two night stay. The manager was non existent and would physically run away and hide. Front desk very rude and non responsive. ***UPDATE, Do not bother with the hopes that the management will seek resolution. I reported all the way to corporate, and the manager of the hotel stated he has to investigate with his employees and will get back to me in 24 hours. Its been 5 days. - Had no problem responded with the line to the hotel on here though.
